You have to spray all 100 tags for your homies to have the possibility of using SMGs and Desert Eagles. If you need a map for the tags, look at the SAM Java Map or 708145's tags map.

There's your new gang with prostitutes, who will keep their sexy walking style and will praise CJ (good for an ego boost ). Unless you get busted and loose all your weapons or are on a missions that strips you of them. There's no actual way to lose the knuckles, but why would you need to anyway. They give more punch to your er.. punches. and don't take up a weapon slot. They basically just soup up your regular fists.
